About Us
Addictions Ontario (AO), formerly The Alcohol and Drug Recovery Association of Ontario, is a non-profit, charitable association that works with and for its members to provide the best possible addiction services for the people of Ontario.
We have been in existence for over 40 years providing leadership in Ontario for excellence in addiction services by developing and promoting quality standards of care, disseminating information that assists members to effectively meet the needs of their clients, advocating at all levels of both the bureaucratic and political sides of government and being part of a collective voice.
AO members are addiction service providers throughout the province of Ontario. They are providing early intervention, health prevention, promotion and treatment services utilizing a wide range of strategies. Our members are both government funded and non-funded service providers from both the non-profit and private sectors who support our mission to help reduce the harmful effects of addiction on individuals, families and society.
